With reference to Mr. Bickle's minute

No.13855/33 of the 17th November, 1933, regarding the

form of agreement for the engagement of Constables for

the Hong Kong Police Force, we enclose copies of a

letter and enclosure which we have received from the

Government of Hong Kong, relative to the amended

Conditions of Service in the Force. We also enclose

a draft of the form of agreement which it is proposed

to use for future engagements, and shall be glad to

learn whether you approve its terms. As there are

now some vacancies to be filled, it will be convenient

if you will let us have a reply as soon as possible. X
